What “verified” means at FEIR

When a FEIR reference carries the Verified badge, one precise thing has been checked: the answer arrived from a work email address, on the domain of the company named in the reference. The design rule behind the badge: trust is proven, not claimed.

The Verified badge, precisely

What it proves: the person who answered did so from the mailbox of the company where the collaboration took place. A throwaway address, a personal inbox or an unrelated domain don't earn it. Whoever is speaking writes from the place they claim to speak from.

What it does not prove, and we'd rather say it: it doesn't judge the content of the reference, and it doesn't spare you reading it. Verification is an anchor, never an opinion.

Around the badge: what makes a reference readable

Context, first. Every reference states who is speaking, in what role, on which engagement and over which period.

Scope, next. The member declares what they did; the person answering confirms, qualifies or leaves aside each mission, in their own words. The nuance is part of the reference.

No retouching, finally. The beneficiary cannot edit an answer. Not a line, not a word. That impossibility is what lets you believe the rest.

What FEIR does not do

FEIR rates nobody. No stars, no score, no ranking: attributed, dated answers that the reader interprets for themselves. And the initiative always belongs to the professional: they collect, hold and share their references. FEIR sells access to no one.
