What “verified” means at FEIR

The referee answered from a work address tied to the organisation named in the reference's context.

A personal address, a temporary address or a domain unrelated to the organisation concerned does not earn the badge.

FEIR certifies neither the accuracy of each statement nor the quality of the professional concerned. The badge is therefore neither a rating nor a recommendation by FEIR.

It gives the reader additional information so that they can assess the reference themselves.

Each reference states the referee's identity, their role, the nature of the collaboration and the period concerned.

The beneficiary describes their role or achievements. The referee can confirm them, qualify them, or decline to comment on some of them. These nuances are an integral part of the reference.

The beneficiary cannot change the content submitted by the referee. This separation between the person who testifies and the person who uses the reference is an essential part of how FEIR works.

FEIR does not rate professionals and sets no score or ranking.

The service provides references with their context and attribution. Interpreting them is up to the person who reads them.

The professional stays in charge of collection and chooses which references to share. FEIR does not sell access to its references.
